Just got this back yesterday. Unheated purple color shift Montana Sapphire. 3.47ct. this is one of a kind custom cut. The bottom was left as a natural step in the stone and then hand carved and polished. Mike Soebbing did such a great job on this one. It is excellent cut.
I carved and polished the small natural area on the bottom. So It is not perfect but it sure performs well. This sapphire has a silk plate in it in certain lighting but is such a one of a kind piece. I do not think it takes away from it's beauty.
